Join us for BBT's Ballet Ball, Berkeley Ballet Theater's redesigned, community-wide, all-ages celebration featuring performances, a pledge drive, and fabulous party! We’d love for all dancers, friends, and families to join us!
Celebrations begin with appetizers, drinks, a photobooth, and the chance to purchase raffle tickets to win a selection of prizes and experiences! The evening’s special performance features live pieces and films from BBT’s artistic programming - including the Youth Division dancers, Adult Open Division dancers, a film from the Dance for Parkinson’s disease program, and special guests from Post:ballet.
This will be a night to remember - dress in a formal and fabulous outfit and show off your style and individuality by selecting attire or accessories in your favorite hue of the radiant rainbow. Following the performance, it’s time for desserts and a party - everyone is invited to the dance floor to let loose and have fun together!

Join The Midway’s Company in Residence, Post:ballet, for the unveiling of Magma (Chapter One). Be a part of the genesis of Magma and see a sneak peek into the world of Post:ballet’s first immersive dance theater production.
Arrive at 7pm for drinks and food at The Midway’s cafe, Madam Zola’s Fortune, before moving throughout the venue and experiencing Chapter One of Magma - a collection of solo dances that introduce the characters and storyline of Magma. At the end of the night, gather together with the artists and audience members for a brief reflection of the work.
Magma features choreography by Post’s Resident Choreographer Moscelyne ParkeHarrison and the company dancers, with music by dj.ari.b and costumes by Mia J. Chong with David Calhoun.

say i am you is a short dance film directed and choreographed by Moscelyne ParkeHarrison with Cinematography by Ben Tarquin and performances by Post:ballet and Soprano Tiffany Townsend. The film explores the psychology of the body in space. say i am you centers on a solo dancer moving to the voice of an opera singer. Through the course of the film the movement of the solo dancer is interpreted and further developed by a chorus of dancers. say i am you is in essence a representation of our impermanence, multiplicity, and our ability to at once articulate and continually dissolve our identity.
The evening includes a live performance by Moscelyne ParkeHarrison.
Post:ballet and Berkeley Ballet Theater present still be here, an evening-length collaboration with Kronos Performing Arts Association featuring original scores commissioned for “50 for the Future: The Kronos Learning Repertoire.”

The performance features live music performed by Kronos Quartet and ensembles from Oakland School for the Arts, San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and Crowden Music Center. still be here includes scores by Bryce Dessner, Fodé Lassana Diabaté, Joan Jeanrenaud, Nicole Lizée, Wu Man, Angélica Negrón, and Charlton Singleton. These works are threaded together by electronic tracks from “Kronos Music: REMIX,” a collaboration between Kronos Performing Arts Association and Sunset Youth Services.
The program features original choreography by Mia J. Chong, Emily Hansel, Babatunji Johnson, Moscelyne ParkeHarrison, Danielle Rowe, Ihsan Rustem, Keon Saghari, and Chuck Wilt, performed by the Post:ballet company and the studio company of Berkeley Ballet Theater.
This curated collection of new music and dance works invites artists and audience members alike to reflect on our impact on one another and the world around us, celebrating the deep connection each of us has with everything and everyone else and reflecting on all that will still be here, even when this moment has passed.
