POST:WORKSHOP

Post:workshop is a week-long summer intensive designed for advanced pre-professional and professional dancers interested in exploring a modern approach to their classically-based technique. Post:workshop immerses dancers in a physically demanding, emotionally nurturing, and artistically enriching experience led by Artistic Director Robert Dekkers, Resident Choreographer Vanessa Thiessen, and the dance artists of Post:ballet.
Post:workshop will be hosted at the Berkeley Ballet Theater studios (1370 Tenth Street, Berkeley CA) on Monday August 1st - Friday August 5th, 2022. The daily schedule is outlined below (subject to change):
10:30am-12:00pm, Contemporary ballet class
12:15-1:45pm, Post:ballet repertoire
2:15-4:15pm, Choreography
4:15-4:30pm, Cool down session

Enrollment is by invitation only and is limited to 40 dancers (20 dancers in each group). Dancers must be 18 years of age by August 1, 2022 to participate in this program.
Dancers interested in attending Post:workshop are asked to send a resume, head shot, and online work sample link for consideration no later than April 1, 2022. Please note that spots will be filled on an ongoing basis, so dancers are encouraged to apply early to secure their spot at Post:workshop. Tuition is $250 for the week. Returning Post:workshop dancers will receive a 10% discount.
